Lung cancer is the first lead cause of cancer death in Taiwan in 2012. Most patients with lung cancer choose chemotherapy as treatment other than surgery, radiation therapy, immune therapy or palliative therapy according to their stage of disease. Chemotherapy is an effective way to stop the progression of lung cancer. However, it brings some side effects. This study reports complementary Chinese Medicine treatment was applied for a patient with lung cancer who received Chemotherapy and pleura effusion occurred. The oxygen demand was decreasing under the complementary Chinese Medicine treatment. The patient then discharged under a stable condition.
