In this case report, this 56 year-old woman has suffered from benign thyroid nodule for decades. She regularly visited the Metabolism outpatient for further ultrasonic inspection in Tzu-Chi Hospital every year and the outcome of ultrasonic inspection was normal every year. But since the beginning of 2016, she suffered from palpitation, cough and out of breath frequently. At the same time, she visited the Metabolism outpatient for ultrasonic inspection in Taiwan Adventist Hospital and found that the thyroid nodule expanded to 8x4cm which suppressed the trachea. In the perspective of Chinese traditional medicine, the treatment of Chinese traditional medicine is to disperse stagnated liver qi for relieving qi stagnation and nourish both qi and yin. After few weeks of Chinese medical treatment, the symptoms of palpation and out of breathing were obviously progressed.
