Imagery of snare often appear in Tang Dynasty poetry. It not only reflects that intellectuals are limited by the state of the world, but also reflects the group appearance of intellectuals hesitating to enter politics. Snare images in Lu Ji's poems are frequently seen in Tang poems. The problem awareness of this article is that how the significance of snare in tang poems evolved in Wei Jin poems, and shaping the image of intellectuals in a changing world. In addition, how the snare imagery in Lu Ji's poetry influenced Tang poetry. This article first traces the images of snare in poems from Qin Dynasty to Cao Wei to sort out its meaning from the perspective of literature and thought. Then analyze the images of Lu Ji's poems and sort out their image characteristics. Finally, this article explores the group and individual concepts of intellectuals in order to highlight the struggle and tangle in the image of snare in Wei Jin poetry, and the main reasons that resonate with the Tang people.
