本文主旨在於探討當代知名人文地理學者Edward Relph的地方概念內涵,並揭示「地方」概念的教育蘊義。本研究採取之研究法為理論探討與概念分析,本文除第一節為導論之外分為六個章節:第二節到第四節說明並探討Relph的地方學主要概念,包括六種不同層次的地方經驗、屬真的地方感、非屬真性與乏地性;第五節試圖詮釋並評析Relph的地方學所蘊含的教育意義,並根據Relph論點提出建構地方教育學可能的努力的方向,包括:(1)將具有深厚空間意義的地方納入課程;(2)提升學校環境的空間意義;(3)提升空間美學素養與在地審美的能力;最後在結論提出教育面向之反思。
This paper aims to explore the concept of place and the educational implications from the perspective of the well-known humanist geographer Edward Relph. The paper comprises six sections. The first section is the introduction. Sections two, three and four discuss Relph's idea of place regarding the dimensions of individual experience, the meanings of an authentic sense of place, and the concepts of inauthenticity and placelessness. The fifth section explicates educational insights from the previous discussions.
