As human lifespans lengthen and populations age, aortic stenosis has become a prevalent heart diease. Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) has shifted the treatment landscape, now preferred for severe cases. Despite its effectiveness, TAVR carries risks such as bleeding and stroke. Nursing interventions and implementing post-acute care play a crucial role in patient recovery, lowering readmissions, improving outcomes, and boosting quality of life while alleviating burden on the healthcare system. The purpose of this article is to update nurses on the latest trends in post-TAVR patient care and provide pertinent knowledge for their management.
