低能量的低溫噴射式大氣電漿之牙齒美白研究

Tooth Bleaching With Low Energy Non-Thermal Atmospheric-Pressure Plasma-Jet

摘要


隨著經濟的進步,人類對牙齒的需求除了強調功能性之外,越來越多人開始注意牙齒的美觀,如何使牙齒美白的技術也因應而生。近年來於醫美市場中最盛行的牙齒美白技術包含有雷射美白、冷光美白、牙托式美白以及美白膠帶系統,這些美白系統的機轉大多是利用濃度較高的氧化劑(H2O2)所產生的自由基與牙齒上色素結構進行化學反應而達到美白的效果,由於氧化劑停留在牙齒上的時間過長,常造成牙齒結構或周邊組織的傷害,雖有美白效果但卻失去了牙齒的健康。為此本研究開發出一套低能量噴射式大氣低溫電漿美白系統,利用電漿可快速活化表面的特性來取代高濃度的氧化劑或降低氧化劑與牙齒接觸的時間,期望達到降低對人類牙齒傷害又同時具備牙齒美白的效果。

With economic progress, people not only emphasize the function of teeth, but also focus on its appearance, and the teeth whitening technology appears concomitantly. In recent years, most prevalent tooth whitening technology in medical cosmetology include laser teeth whitening system, luminescence teeth whitening system, strip system and tray system which uses hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) as an oxidant. The theory of using hydrogen peroxide use as whitening systems is that it can generate some free radical species by high concentrations of these reactive molecules. These free radicals can attack the structure of chromophore molecules in the teeth to reach the required whitening effect. The time the reactive species stays in the teeth significantly affects the health of the teeth. Often causing injury to the teeth structure or the surrounding tissue although the whitening effect is not lost. Therefore, this study delves with the development of a non-thermal atmospheric-pressure plasma-jet tooth whitening system. This method uses quick activation of the surface properties of plasma to replace the high concentrations of oxidant or reduce the contact time of the oxidant with the teeth hoping to reduce teeth damage without losing the whitening effectivity.
