本文將先對品德教育進行概述:說明品德教育的意義、重要性、在全球的發展狀態,以及其實施至今所面臨的挑戰。接著,通過《莊子》對於禮樂教化的問題意識和批判觀點,對照思考品德教育的本質及實施方式。本文試圖說明:從《莊子》的觀點來看品德教育,品德教育應著重人我共在場域中不同的個體人格的相感互通,並通過自然靈活的教化方式使品德教育深入人心。此外,品德教育若要順利內化於受教者並使其展開具體的道德行動,則無論在觀念灌輸、理性論辯、生活經驗學習等教學方式上,皆應建立在開放互信的教育氛圍之中;使受教者通過自我覺察、自我探索及自我實現的歷程,建立一整全堅實並能不斷進行自我反省創新的道德人格。
At the beginning, this essay will introduce the meaning and the orientation of ”character and moral education”, and will indicate the challenges it is facing nowadays. Based upon this, this essay will then critically examine, from Zhuangzian point of view, what essense ”character and moral education” is and how it can be applied. According to Zhuangzi, the key point of ”character and moral education” is to promote intercourse of different individuals in the co-existing circumstance. Via various natural approaches, with flexible methods, and in a reliable atmosphere, character and moral education can access the heart-mind of every individual, helping them build up a sound, continually self-reflecting and creative moral character.
