The global increased population of obesity results from excessive eating and lacking of physical activity. People always use a variety of weight loss programs to improve health and promote the quality of life. This paper is intended as an investigation of various weigh loss programs. Diet has been dominated used for weight loss, however, inappropriate diet program may result in insufficient nutrition intake. Single weight loss program is hardly to have efficient outcome. Although exercise can change the composition of the body, the continuity and intensity must be retained. Moreover, the majority of weight loss programs may cause physical damage to some extent. To sum up, weight loss is necessary for healthy and better quality of life. Therefore, diet program and regular exercise must be combined in order for the best results.
