疫情時代的料理療癒:以日本2020年夏季新美食劇為例

A Culinary Healing during Covid-19: The New Japanese Food Drama in Summer, 2020

摘要


新冠肺炎(COVID-19)為全世界帶來極大衝擊,長期隔離與人際疏離所帶來的心理憂鬱也成為各國防疫時所應注意的課題。美食本就具備一定的心理療效(Macht, 2006; Schultchen et al., 2019; Singh, 2014; Weltens, 2014),也因此日劇中亦有所謂的美食療癒劇,但面對新冠肺炎的阻隔,如何能在保持社交距離的同時,又還能享用美食,已成為日本美食劇的主要重點。本文因此討論2020年夏季(七月與八月)日本電視劇突然連續播出四部異於昔日的美食劇(本文稱之為日本第三代美食劇),解說其與其他多數日本美食劇的不同點,進而論證其與日本新冠肺炎猖獗之可能關係,最後以此第三代美食劇當為日本因應疫情時代而產出的美食療癒劇為結論。

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has posed a severe impact to the whole world in 2020. The depression caused by the quarantine and requirement of keeping social distance is also another important issue to pay attention to for the world. Generally speaking, great food is influential to mentality (Macht, 2006; Schultchen et al., 2019; Singh, 2014; Weltens, 2014). Therefore, in Japanese drama, food drama has also cultivated itself a healing type. Yet, facing the severe disease of COVID-19, how can one keep good social distance and enjoy great food at the same time should be a crucial issue in Japanese food drama. This paper aims at a study on four Japanese food dramas (hereby coined as the third generation food drama) all broadcast in the summer season (July and August) to investigate their possible relation with the pandemic in Japan by explicating its differences in comparison with other types of Japanese food dramas. It is, therefore, concluded that this third generation food drama in Japan could be a possible solution for Japanese to promote their culinary tourism during COVID-19.
