Using a Document Camera to Measure the Wavelength of Diodes

摘要


將發光二極體(LED)及紅外線二極體(IREED)並聯放在實物投影機的平台上,並在二極體旁置放一把尺,在投影機的CCD鏡頭前黏貼一片光柵。逐漸調高連接二極體的電壓,銀幕上會先出現IRED的白色亮點,接著出現紅色亮點,最後出現藍色亮點。直接從銀幕上測量亮點間的距離,可以測量紅外線和可見光的波長。本教具除了可以作為演示教學外,還可以讓學生分組操作實驗。

When LEDs and an IRED are connected in parallel circuits and put on the platform of a document camera, we can find the color spots of the LEDs and a white spot of the IRED on the screen. As a diffraction grating is placed in front of the lens of the document camera, a series of diffraction patterns are shown on the screen. We can measure the wavelengths of the LEDs and the IRED directly from the screen.
