When the light emitted or the light is reflected or transmitted by an object, the light perceived by the viewer's eyes with light reflected color or transmitted color which is different from the color of the emitted light. In natural science, the green color of leaves is due to chlorophyll, while in physics, it is the light (color) that leaves do not need (reflect). In physics teaching, colors are taught based on additive color mixing using red, green, and blue - the three primary lights that combine to produce white light. The three primary paint colors are subtractive color combinations of cyan, magenta, and yellow. To help students understand the principle of colors is the light shines upon objects and is eventually reflected or transmitted to our eyes, known as color vision. This exploration and implementation utilize various LED color lights, YouTube videos, leaves, apples, cellophane paper, 3D glasses tools to assist students in experiencing the principles of color through visualized and hands-on practices. It also provides an opportunity for students to discuss possible applications.
