The Design and Application of Active Inductor

主動電感的設計與應用

摘要


有鑑於製程技術的成熟使得晶片中電子元件不斷的縮小,而常用的螺旋形電感佔用甚大比例的晶片面積,使得高頻電路系統縮小不易。主動電感是由主動元件場效電晶體所構成,藉由閘極與源極間電容及互導與感應電流源之關係,可推導出其電路具有電感性質。本文經由三種不同的電路接法,得到各自不同的電感及其附屬元件的串、並聯結構,三種不同的電路亦展現其不同的電路特性,分別可應用於不同的濾波器。由電路所呈現的特性,可知其尚有改善的空間,對於主動電感的廣泛應用,應可期待。

Owing to the advance of fabrication technique, size reduction of electronic device has progressed steadfastly. However, the commonly used spiral inductor usually occupied a large portion of the chip area, which made the miniaturization of high frequency circuit system difficult. An active inductor is constructed from some active devices, such as field effect transistor (FET). The inductive property is derived from the interaction between the interpolar capacitance and the induced current effect. In this article, we have presented three different circuit configurations to achieve different circuit characteristics. These configurations can be utilized in different high frequency filters. From the characteristics of the circuits, we have found ground for further improvement for applicability of high quality inductive circuit.
