UHMWPE/Nomex包覆紗製備及其耐磨性之探討

A Study on Preparation and Abrasion Resistant Properties of UHMWPE/Nomex Wrap Yarn

摘要


UHMWPE/Nomex包覆紗是利用中空錠子撚線機之技術所包繞而成。其中芯絲超高分子量聚乙烯(UHMWPE)是採用美國Allied Signal公司所生產之產品Spectra 1000(435^D/120w),而鞘紗芳香族聚醯胺(Nomex)則是使用美國杜邦^(TM)公司所生產之Nomex®100%短纖紗,其規格分別為30's、40's、60's。本實驗製備UHMWPE/Nomex包覆紗所選擇之參數為包繞NOMEX短纖紗之支數及包繞撚度,支數分別為30's、40's、60's,而包繞撚度則選擇600TPM~1000TPM(twist per meter)。而在耐磨性測試方面,則分別將UHMWPE/Nomex包覆紗織成40”×40”之方平組織、平紋組織、以及斜紋組織,以探討各種包繞Nomex短纖紗支別、包繞撚度以及在不同之織紋下其耐磨性質之變化,以作為耐高溫且耐磨防護手套之應用。經實驗結果顯示,在相同之包繞Nomex短纖紗撚度及支數之下,其方平組織之耐磨性質較優於平纹組織及斜紋組織且在各種包繞支數、包繞撚度皆然;在相同織紋組織及包繞支數之下,其包繞撚度愈高耐磨次數愈高且在各種織紋組織及包繞支數均有相同趨勢;若是在相同之包繞撚度及織紋組織之下,則包繞60's之耐磨性質較優於40's及30's且無論選擇何種織紋組織及包繞支數皆有相同之結果。總之,以中空錠子撚線之技術製備UHMWPE/Nomex包覆紗時,單就耐磨性質而言,其最佳之條件是選擇Nomex短纖紗之支數為60's、包繞撚度則選擇1000TPM、織紋組織則選擇方平組織。

The preparation of UHMWPE/Nomex wrap yarn was fabricated via hollow spindle machine, whereas the UHMWPE filament (Spectra 1000, 435^D/120) which was purchased from Allied Signal of USA was treated as core filament and the 30's, 40's, 60's of Nomex®100% staple yarn which was purchased from DuPont company of USA was treated as sheath yarn. In this study, 30's, 40's, 60's of Nomex®100% staple yarn and 600~1000TPM of twist degree would be chosen as parameters for preparation of UHMWPE/Nomex wrap yarn. For the evaluation count of Nomex®100% staple yarn and twist degree on resistant abrasion properties of UHMWPE/Nomex wrap yarn which would has a heat resistant and high abrasion resistant so that would be apply for functional protective glove, the UHMWPE/Nomex wrap yarn was prepared with 30's, 40's, 60's and 600~1000 twist degree of Nomex®100% staple yarn wraps UHMWPE via hollow spindle machine, and then the UHMWPE/Nomex wrap yarn was weaved into 40”×40” square fabric with three different weave organizations such as basket, plain, and twill. The results show that the basket weave organization has the best abrasion resistant properties of among the three weave organizations in the same wrap count and twist degree of Nomex®100% staple yarn and has a same trend with difference count and twist degree of Nomex®100% staple yarn; in addition, the more twist degree the more abrasion resistant in the same wrap count and weave organization and has a same trend with difference count and twist degree of Nomex®100% staple yarn; if used same twist degree and organization, the best abrasion resistant of UHMWPE/Nomex wrap yarn is a wrapping 60's, and wrapping 30's is the worst of among the count in this study, those results had same tendency as we chose with different wrap count and weaving organization.In summary, the UHMWPE filament was wrapped with Nomex®100% staple yarn to fabricate the UHMWPE/Nomex warp yarn via hollow spindle frame. From the view of abrasion resistant, the optimum parameters of preparation UHMWPE/Nomex warp yarn were chosen 60's yarn count of Nomex®100% staple yarn, 1000TPM of twist degree and basket weave.
