Mary Shelley is a famous writer in nineteenth-century Britain. ”Frankenstein” is her most popular work. Scholars have focused on the political and social context between 1800 and 1850, in order to understand more about the life of Mary and her husband, Percy Bysshe Shelley. Some have paid attention to the connection between ”Frankenstein” and ”Prometheus”. This article not only concentrates on the relation between the text of Frankenstein and the Romantic movement, but also Mary Shelley's view on nineteenth-century science.
