This study analyzed omissions of ”ga” and ”kedo” at the ends sentences by TJ based on conversation text books, a questionnaire survey, and interviews.Learners' learning conditions were explored by summarizing omission examples from two series of textbooks. A questionnaire survey and interviews were then conducted with TJ to find out criteria and reasons for their omissions. The results showed that there were very few examples of omissions in these textbooks, TJ often misused omissions, and TJ didn’t have clear criteria to apply omissions but made judgments based on ”tenses at the end of a sentence” or ”interpersonal relationship”.
