Effectiveness of Bipolar Transurethral Resection in Saline for Patients with Large-Volume T1 Bladder Cancer

摘要

Previous studies have reported that bipolar transurethral resection using saline intravesical irrigation significantly improvs treatment of non-muscle-invasive bladder tumors (NMIBC). Our preliminary study showed complete eradication of cancer at the one-year follow-up examination of patients with large-volume low- and high-grade T1 bladder cancer who underwent bipolar transurethral resection in saline (bTURB) using a specific electrosurgical unit. The present bTURB technique appears to be a promising endoscopic treatment for patients with large NMIBC, as it results in satisfactory cancer eradication with fewer adverse effects and complications.

先前有限的研究報告顯示，採用雙極電刀併生理食鹽水沖洗的方式進行經尿道膀胱腫瘤切除術，來治療早期膀胱癌有不錯的療效。我們的研究追蹤顯示，多位罹患大型腫瘤與高惡性度的T1期膀胱癌患者，在接受選擇設定之雙極電刀經尿道切除術後追蹤一年，均無復發的結果。我們認為，此選擇設定之雙極電刀內視鏡手術方式對於較大較惡性但無肌肉層侵犯的膀胱癌治療，可獲得相當良好的腫瘤根除效果，且具較低的手術副作用與併發症。
