臺灣古典詩中的水果名稱與文化意涵－以天波羅、地波羅、亞波羅、梨仔拔、番檨、染霧、丹荔、牙蕉、柚等水果為例

摘要

臺灣為水果之島，明、清兩代來臺任職的中國官員，以及臺灣的文人，在他們的詩作中，時常提及這些水果，部分水果的名稱與現在水果常用的名稱相異，本文選取幾個在臺灣古典詩中常出現的水果，解讀他們過去在臺灣古典詩中的名稱，並說明其背後命名的文化意涵，以及族群交融過程。我們認為這些水果的名稱，揭櫫了臺灣在接受異文化，以及本地文化融合的歷史進程，甚至有些水果名稱反映了這些短暫來臺任職中國官員看待臺灣的心理狀態。臺灣古典詩中出現的水果名稱眾多，本文聚焦於「以天波羅、地波羅、亞波羅、梨仔拔、番檨、染霧、丹荔、牙蕉、柚」這幾類水果，說明其背後命名的緣由以及文化內涵。

I pick some fruits in Taiwan classical poetry and discuss their names and cultural meanings. In my opinion, those names of Taiwan fruits show a slow process of merging different cultures. Those names of Taiwan fruits combine the cultures of local and outside. Some names of Taiwan fruits show the mentality of the government officials who served in Taiwan in Ming(明) and Qing(清) dynasty. This research takes jackfruit, pineapple, sugar apple, guava, mango, wax apple, litchi, banana and pomelo as examples.
