敘事與意象的協奏──瓦歷斯.諾幹散文詩初探

A Concerto of Narrations and Images, On Walis Nokan's Prose Poetry

摘要


泰雅族作家瓦歷斯.諾幹,兼擅小說、散文、詩歌、評論及文獻田調等寫作文類,其寫作類型雖然多樣紛呈,然而對於原住民族群歷史的釐清、重建與詮釋及自我生活實踐體驗的深刻反思,卻一直是他創作的核心主題;而其散文詩的寫作,亦大多以此類主題為主。故本文首先介紹瓦歷斯.諾幹自1984年〈家族系列〉、1992年〈Atayal(1896~1930)〉、1997年〈關於「我」這個命題的辯證〉等作品,至2004年仍陸續於聯合文學發表散文詩,顯見他在散文詩創作上的用心與持續,而其成績亦備受肯定。然目前對瓦歷斯.諾幹散文詩的研究仍未適當開展,因此接續討論自民國初年至今,諸多詩人對於散文詩的討論與評價,其中尤以敘事主題及意象營造為論述的兩大主軸,故本文亦從1.敘事核心:族群、歷史、社會,2.意象營造:創新、連結、擴大,這兩大角度討論瓦歷斯.諾幹散文詩創作的藝術特質與重要性,並總結三大特質以彰顯其散文詩的價值與意義。

Atayal writer, Walis Nokan is well-versed in many genres including novel, prose, poetry, criticism, and field research. Out of the seemingly various genres, the central theme of his writings has always been clarification of aborigines history, re-construct, interpret, and deep reflection on his own life. Most of his prose poetry also centers around these themes. This paper will introduce Walis Nokan's earlier prose poetry, including The Family Series (1984), Atayal (1896-1930) (1992), The Dialectics on "Me" (1997), and many prose poetry published in the Unitas up to 2004. All these works show that he composed prose poetry continuously and his works are well received. However, there is not much discussion of his prose poetry. Then I will put his works in the context of discussions and criticism on prose poetry, especially on narrative themes and image construction from 1911 to the present time. This paper will focus on 1: core narration: peoples, history, and society, 2. image construction: innovation, connection, and expansion to analyze the artistic elements and importance of Walis Nokan's prose poetry. And I will summarize these prose poetry's value and meanings in three characteristics.
