甲狀腺疾患在門診十分常見,以中西結合治療方式來控制甲狀腺功能的過亢或低下,亦皆有令人滿意的療效,但是臨床所見甲亢症的心悸汗多、善飢消瘦、急躁易怒、面紅口乾等,以及甲低症的貧血、倦怠乏力、便秘、健忘、失眠、記憶力減退、憂鬱症狀等,都可能與抑鬱症、經前緊張症候群、慢性疲勞症候群、老人失智等病症有類似的症狀表現,為了鑑別清楚以免錯失甲狀腺疾病早期治療機會,本文試著將常見的甲狀腺疾病種類與中西醫治療方法加以彙整,期待結合中醫辨證論治與血液檢驗、超音波、細胞學檢查之整合療法,能幫助更多甲狀腺疾病患者!本文簡介常見的甲狀腺疾病,並羅列中西醫不同的治療方式,特別是中醫學理論對這一現代疾病的病機認識、辨證思路及中西結合論治方法等多有著墨,應可提供中西醫同道於臨床時有更多元的治療思路。
The presentation of thyroid disorders is very common in the clinical setting. Administration of the integrative Chinese and Western medicine therapeutic approach has proven to offer excellent clinical efficacy for controlling both hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism. The clinical findings of hyperthyroidism such as heart palpitations, sweating, weight loss despite increased appetite, anxiety and irritability, reddish facial complexion, and dry mouth; and hypothyroidism such as anemia, fatigue, constipation, forgetfulness, insomnia, impaired memory, and symptoms of depression, which may resemble the pathologies of depression, premenstrual syndrome, chronic fatigue syndrome, and elderly dementia. To ensure that thyroid diseases are accurately identified and diagnosed and treatment is initiated at an early stage, this paper compiles a listing of the common types of thyroid diseases along with integrative Chinese and Western medicine therapeutic approaches. Through the integration of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) pattern identification as the basis for determining treatment, blood tests, ultrasound, and cytologic examination, this paper hopes to help more thyroid disease patients on the path to health! This paper discusses common thyroid disorders and presents various integrative Chinese and Western medicine therapeutic approaches for treating these conditions. Particular emphasis is placed on understanding the pathogenesis of these modern diseases through the TCM theoretical and clinical perspective, the underlying reasoning of pattern identification, and application of integrative Chinese and Western medicine therapeutic approach for determining treatment. The integration of TCM and Western medicine opens up greater opportunities for providing patients with more effective treatment.
