中醫協同癌症免疫療法之探討

摘要
現今癌症免疫療法已蓬勃發展，患者的治療選項更多元化，面對越來越多患者選擇中西合療之際，中醫究竟應扮演什麼樣的角色？除了讚嘆調節免疫是中醫的專長、除了自詡緩解西醫療法的副作用外，中醫該如何確認其立足點？當癌症患者進行免疫療法同時也求診中醫時，醫者除在握的證病合辨工具之外，還需對癌症免疫療法的副作用、免疫過亢的病理有基本認識，才能針對中西醫合療各階段擬定因應的用藥策略。本文將逐一探討。病症詭局多變，臨床上無法將癌症病情全數控制良好仍是中西醫學共同面臨的難題，需共同努力、突破瓶頸，互相印證並攜手協同治療，此乃病家之福也。當免疫療法加入癌症治療行列之際，正是醫者溫故知新、省思過去治癌策略的好時機，期勉吾等從癌症免疫的觀點，重新檢討，再修正、再出發！

As the development of immunotherapy in oncology prospers, patients are able to choose from different treatment options according to their medical needs. With more patients opting for integrative treatment for cancer, we need to ask ourselves ＂what roles should Chinese medicine play in helping patients?＂ Other than the How does Chinese medicine gain a foothold in oncology treatment patients when we are boasting that Chinese medicine specializes in regulating immunity and relieves side effects? When a cancer patient often seeks immunotherapy alongside Chinese medicine, Chinese medicine practitioners should not be satisfied with our traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis tool. The practitioners should also grasp the understanding of side effects and autoimmune response brought on by immunotherapy. This understanding can help practitioners and patients to draw out a treatment strategy according to different stages when integrating Chinese medicine and Western medicine. We will talk about the strategies and understanding in this research. The prognosis of cancer is varied and changeable. The common challenge for Chinese and Western medicine in oncology is not able to manage all the cancer symptoms. The common ground for the coalition of Chinese and Western medicine is to work together and seek for breakthroughs in treatment. As immunotherapy gains its ground in cancer treatment, it's a good opportunity for practitioners from both modalities to review, reflect and update our knowledge and understanding of cancer and immunotherapy. We look forward that this research can serve an innovative introspect to bring forth well-being to our patients.
