This study explored the evolution of the athletic performances of Taiwanese athletes and the influencing factors to provide insights for the future development of athletics competitive performance. Through a review of the literature and the analysis of data, performances in the Asian Games and Asian Athletics Championships were examined to reveal trends in Taiwanese athletes' competitive performances and the influencing factors. The findings demonstrated that Taiwanese players' athletics competitive performances exhibited increases, fluctuations, declines, and stabilization. Accordingly, an effective top-down management approach should be implemented, the international exposure of athletes should be expanded, and the training strategy should align with the global training trends. Ensuring appropriate management and resource allocation, along with the implementation of long-term development strategies and a scientific training system, can help enhance the overall athletics competitive performance of Taiwanese athletes.
