莫札特《魔笛》中光明與黑暗意象的音樂表達

摘要
十八世紀末將光明視為一種啟蒙思想與理性追求，共濟會中的「三盞大光源」與「三盞小光源」作為引導擁護者追求人類之理想與光明的象徵符號。這些共濟會的思考在莫札特的《魔笛》中，藉由當時維也納貼近民間的藝術形式，與童話般的情節呈現善與惡的對立。莫札特對於光明意涵的歌詞處理，藉由大調和管樂的使用來表達不同層次的光明意象，以及如何刻畫薩拉斯特羅作為「分會主席」的光明形象，並且以主音風格的合唱與重唱呈現光明意象。莫札特在規劃整齣歌劇的黑暗意象時，主角塔米諾的絕望心情，唱出「歐，無止盡的黑夜！何時結束…」莫札特以小調來表達黑暗。在最後的考驗中塔米諾必須穿越死神的黑夜，這裡同時使用小調、嘆息音型、對位手法與聖詠旋律的片段。莫札特在夜后的花腔旋律中刻畫邪惡人物的復仇心情，以作為處理黑暗意象的音樂表達。

In the late 18th century, people pursuit Enlightenment thought and let ‘Light’ as symbol pursuit reason. In the Masonic meaning, Bible, square and compasses are the three large lights. Sun, Moon and the lodge President are the three small lights. The large lights and small lights have lead masons pursuit of the symbol of reason and light. The Masonic meaning was close by folk art in Vienna, with the fairy-tale plot showing the opposition between good an evil in Mozart's Magic Flute. Mozart had chosen the major keys and special ochestration to present light images, especially on the word ‘Light’, he portray Sarastro as the symbol of light of the lodge President, and chosen Homophony style to present light image. In the plan of dark image of the whole opera, in Tamio's words ‘O endless night, when will you vanish? When will my eyes find the light?’ These words are set in the key of A minor, the key furthest removed from the opera's central masonic key of E flat major. Tamino go through the final test of night of death, music set in the key of C minor. Representative figure of the dark image -Queen of Night's coloratura depicts evil characters.
