Case Study of Applying Function Analysis System Technique (FAST) Diagram on Roll Meter

摘要

Function Analysis System Technique (FAST) is a part of Function Analysis Phase, which is a step in the Job-Plan technique of value methodology. FAST is a technique that was further developed for Function Analysis by solve a problem graphically where the logical relationship between parts of an object, process or project was linked based on their function. FAST provide opportunity to increase value of a product by increasing the function of element in product through substituted one or several element of the product. In this study all part of roll meter element has been identify and generate their basic function using FAST method. FAST diagram showing an opportunity to enhance the basic function of each element and can increasing the value of this product through Value Engineering Method to increasing competitiveness of the product.
