摘要

2021年4月，坊間出版一書名為《實業家的二林：林本源製糖關係事件》，該書內容是林本源製糖會社的創立及經營過程的記錄。書中揭示資本家觀點，訴說日治時期之二林蔗農事件的始末，以及導致之後的林本源製糖株式會社轉讓事件。然而，該書監修許玉暄以為二林蔗農事件首謀的李應章，身繫囹圄出獄後潛赴廈門，之後移居上海。她追蹤李應章之人生旅程，發現戰後李應章與楊肇嘉在上海為選舉旅滬台灣同鄉會理事長，而發生一段撲朔迷離的競爭。這引起筆者對這段事蹟的探索。事實又如何？是否存在著想像與建構？許玉暄的母親楊女士，是楊肇嘉的姪女，許丙的長媳。許玉暄在「編後語」以大篇幅對於爭議的感嘆。筆者拜讀先行研究及各項歷史檔案文獻，查閱當時報章期刊所載以及各項傳記回憶錄著作，依循脈絡查證考訂，耙梳台灣旅滬同鄉會之籌備經過，解題糾葛與真相，釐清虛實，提供給史料研究者參酌。

In April 2021,the bookstore will publish a book. Erlin of Industrialist: Lin Benyuan Sugar Manufacturing Relation Incident is the recording of the foundation and operational process of Ben-Yuan Lin Sugar Refining Company, Ltd. It discloses the perspective of capitalist and the history of the Erlin Sugarcane Peasant Incident in the Japanese colonial period which resulted in the subsequent transfer of Ben-Yuan Lin Sugar Refining Company, Ltd. However, according to the supervision of Erlin of Industrialist: Lin Benyuan Sugar Manufacturing Relation Incident, Yu-Hsuan Hsu, several years after being discharged from the prison, the chief instigator of the Erlin Sugarcane Peasant Incident, Ying-Chang Lee, arrived in Amoy and moved to Shanghai. Yu-Hsuan Hsu followed the trail of the life of Ying-Chang Lee and realized that after the war, there was a complicated competition between Ying-Chang Lee and Chao-Chia Yang in the selection of the director of Taiwan Association of Shanghai. The author was thus motivated to explore the story. What is the fact of the capitalist? Are there imagination and construction? This study aims to respond to these questions. The mother of Yu-Hsuan Hsu, Ms. Yang, is the niece of Chao-Chia Yang and the eldest daughter-in-law of Bing Hsu. Erlin of Industrialist: Lin Benyuan Sugar Manufacturing Relation Incident was published by the later generations of the operator of Ben-Yuan Lin Sugar Refining Company, Ltd., and it depicts the controversy between Ying-Chang Lee and Chao-Chia Yang in the editor's notes. What was the relationship between the Erlin Sugarcane Peasant Incident and Taiwan Association of Shanghai after the war? This study thus conducted the research and clarified the planning process of Taiwan Association of Shanghai as well as the complication and truth as reference for the historical researchers.
