本實驗以鬍鬚黴在不同光、溫度及培養基下加以探討,結果顯示在24℃下,PDA及SMA兩種培養基,對鬍鬚黴菌絲生長最為快速,孢子囊也易成熟。將孢子囊柄置於空氣(對照組)及置於石蠟油(paraffin liquid)實驗組中生長,其結果顯示:對照組有屈向光源生長,而實驗組則背向光源生長的現象。鬍鬚黴在不同的維生素B1液體培養基中,以每100毫升之液體培養基中含有3.2μg生長情形最佳。又利用鬍鬚黴具有缺乏維生素B1之特徵,因而此可應用於生物檢定上。
Of media tested, Phycomyces blakesleeanus grew well on PDA and SMA under the incubation of 24 C in the darkness.Curvature results from unequal growth on the sides of the elongating region towards and away from the stimulus, the side remote from the light growing faster. Phototropism in this organism was illustrated and discussed.Effect on hyphal growth of P. blakesleeanus obtained by dry weight of mycelium in liquid medium containing 3.2μg of thiamine was detected as grown well. Therefore, this fungus may be used for the bio-assey of this vitamin in foods of unknown thiamine content.
