Sister Mary Joseph Nodule Mimicking Umbilical Hernia as the Initial Presentation of Colon Cancer: A Case Report and Literature Review

摘要


Sister Mary Joseph nodule is a metastatic nodule that occurs in the periumbilical region and can be difficult to differentiate from an umbilical hernia. This report discusses such a case and proposes that the presence of Sister Mary Joseph nodule accompanied by abdominal pain is a primary manifestation of colon cancer and not simply an umbilical hernia as often assumed.
