In 2022, the Omicron variant of COVID-19 began to break out and spread rapidly in various parts of Taiwan. Most infected people were asymptomatic or had mild symptoms, while it was a big threat to the elderly. The condition of elderly infected people tended to deteriorate rapidly and even became critically ill rapidly; besides, the mortality rate was extremely high. This case was a 92-year-old woman. She was transferred to the intensive care unit within about 3 days after suffering from the COVID-19 variant virus. Even received Western medicine treatment continuing, she was still facing a dying state and a critical illness notice was issued. After her family members sought interventional treatment from traditional Chinese medicine, her condition gradually stabilized. Finally, she discharged from the hospital successfully and returned home to recuperate. This case study provided the treatment process and medication thinking of integrated traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine for Chinese medical physicians.
