Cement stabilization has been found to improve the problematic soil effectively. Durability is an important aspect of clay shale stability. Measurement for the durability of stabilized soil has been developed for many years. This paper proposes the investigation of clay shale durability stabilized with cement by dry and sprayed pulverizing and tested by the wetting-drying cycle in the slaking test. The specimen was made according to ASTM standard weight for slaking test. The sample was molded with two types of mold in this study: compacted cylinders (CCS) measuring 1.35 inches in diameter and 1.35 inches in height, and compacted cylinders then broken into 40 ~ 60 g weight fragments (CBF). The cement content was varied from 2 to 10 percent by weight of the dry soil. The results conclude that the CBF specimen shows a higher durability value. In general, the dynamic slake durability index is about 85% lower than the static slake durability index for Id ≤ 60. This study has identified that the dry and spray pulverizing mixing methods result in soil stabilization. Dry cement mixing exhibits a higher slake durability index but has a lower unconfined compressive strength than spray mixing.
