本文研究台灣地區免自負額車對車碰撞損失保險之損失理賠金額的影響因素。研究資料是某產險公司2020年與2021年所承保的免自負額車對車碰撞損失保險之出險資料共8,972筆。資料項包含保費、理賠金額、要保人性別、年齡、駕駛人性別、年齡、出險次數、前期是否投保、車籍地區、車輛用途與車齡等。利用線性模型,以單位保費的理賠金額為被解釋變數,分別以要保人與駕駛人的性別與年齡為解釋變數加上其他控制變數來分析。統計資料顯示要保人男性占比37.99%,女性占62.01%,但實際出險時駕駛人男性卻高達66.67%,女性駕駛33.33%。實證結果顯示,以要保人性別及年齡為解釋變數時,女性較男性對單位保費的理賠金額有正向顯著的影響,但以駕駛人性別年齡為解釋變數時,女性較男性對單位保費的理賠金額卻是負向顯著的影響,二者呈現顯著的差異;此意味著車對車碰撞損失保險之保費依要保人性別及年齡的風險分類並無法反映公平的費率。
This study examines the factors that affect the claim amounts for deductible-free car collision insurance in Taiwan. The dataset comprises 8,972 records from a specific property and casualty insurance company covering the years 2020 and 2021. It includes various variables such as premium amounts, claim amounts, the gender and age of policyholders, the gender and age of drivers, accident frequency, prior insurance status, vehicle registration areas, vehicle usage, and vehicle age. A linear model is employed, where the claim amount per unit premium serves as the dependent variable. The regression analysis incorporates the gender and age of the policyholders and the drivers, respectively, as explanatory variables, alongside additional control variables. Statistical analysis reveals that male policyholders represent 37.99% of the total, while female policyholders account for 62.01%. In contrast, male drivers constitute 66.67%, compared to 33.33% for female drivers. The empirical findings from the linear model suggest that when the gender and age of policyholders are used as explanatory variables, there is a significant positive impact on the claim amount per unit premium for females relative to males. However, when the gender and age of drivers are considered, this impact turns negative for females compared to males. This indicates that the current premium structure, which relies on the gender and age of policyholders, does not effectively reflect proper risk classification.
