Estimation of Minimum Taxiing Time between Runway and Apron to Enhance Airline Schedule Reliability and Operation Performance at Taipei SongShang Airport

摘要

This paper proposes to analyze the relationship and issues between timetables delay and airfield ground traffic management to formulate and solve the time slot allocation problems of the congested airfield. The paper applied an optimization mathematic planning model to formulate the optimum arrangement of arrival/departure times for international/domestic flights within one hour. This formulation is based on the taxiing speed and waiting time between runway and apron to meet airport capacity constraints. This study selects flight information, timetables, airfield layout, and airfield operations of Taipei SongShang Airport as parameters. Results show that the optimal timetable is better than the current timetable not only to maintain the minimum total taxiing time between runway and apron at 10 minutes per flight but also to show some time points to be too shortest apron operational times and to serve many flights. The outcome issues can provide the airport authorities set service standard of shift backward times of gate timetable to enhance the airfield operation efficiency and suggest the airlines how to allocate the departure flights at the same time point of the neighbor aprons to avoid physical airfield congestions.
