本文探討明志科技大學106年度獲教育部補助之「技專校院教學創新先導計畫」,其中一門通識選修課程-「跨領域專業英文簡報實務」的創新教學理念和執行成果。該課程旨在建立通識英文教師及各系專業英文種子教師跨領域合作的管道,將學生未來職場的專業英文簡報需求融入課程中,因此由一位英文教師主授,與各系的專業英文種子教師合作,而外文組召集人則負責整體統籌規劃的工作。課程限定大四具多益400分以上實力的學生選修,106學年上學期共有32名學生修習。本計畫收集量化及質性的資料進行成果分析,其中量化的資料為:業界人士評核問卷、學生期初及期末問卷、學生的成績紀錄;而質性的資料為:業界人士評估結果、學生學習評估問卷、主授教師的訪談。最後並根據成果分析進行反思。
The present study investigated the innovative implementation of a general education elective course, "Interdisciplinary English Briefing Practice," in Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT), under the sponsorship of the "Pioneering Project for Teaching Innovation in the Technical and Vocational Education" of the Ministry of Education for the year of 2017. The course aimed to form a platform for general English and content area teachers to cooperate in teaching across fields, as well as to incorporate students' future career needs for English briefing into the course. In that regard, the course was mainly taught by an English teacher, who worked closely together with each content area teacher representative coming from all the ten departments of MCUT. The coordinator of the English Language Section was in charge of the overall planning of the course project. As the course was limited to students with a TOEIC score of 400 or above, a total of 32 students enrolled in this course in the fall semester of 2017. This study collected and analyzed both quantitative and qualitative data from the practitioners' evaluation questionnaires, students' questionnaires, students' grades and records, and interviews with the teacher. Finally, reflections were obtained from the results of data analysis.
