Development of Occupational Competency Standard and Competency Gap Analysis of Organic Agricultural Product Processing Technician

According to the areas of organic agriculture are growing yearly, it also leads to the market highly growth rate, the value chain strategy becomes a mainly agricultural policy in Taiwan, and every parts of expert’s competency will be the main task as well. Therefore, the research aim to organic crop cultivation industry to establish competency blueprinting, then choose ”organic agricultural product processing technician”, one of vocations in organic agricultural cultivation industry, to analyze its own competency and collect specialists’ opinions by functional analysis model. Finally, utilize the result to build Occupational Competency Standard (OCS), the information can be the recruiting evaluation and work-training fundamental reference. OCS also can improve industrial manpower structure gradually, strengthen technician’s ability by educational training programs and create specific agricultural value chain in the future.
