The modal analysis of thin walled multi-cell composite doubly tapered beams in cantilever configurations was presented in this paper. Tapered beams with closed three cell configuration having variable cross sections wereanalyzed. The model was initially evaluated analytically. The effects of composite material and stacking sequence on the modal frequencies weredemonstrated. The effects of different geometrical configurations of beams (tapered angles, materials, lengths and taper ratios) on the modal frequencies havealso been examined in this paper. The outcome of this research was that the controlling parameters were identified in terms of lay-up configurations, composite materials, geometry changes to shift the natural frequencies of the beams.
