Lovastatin(洛伐他汀)為一種「Statin類」藥物,常用於降低血中膽固醇,有研究報導曾在多種常見食用菇類中偵測到lovastatin,由於食用菇類在日常生活中的食用量逐漸增加,因此具有食用過量lovastatin的潛在風險性。本研究利用液相層析串聯飛行式質譜儀(liquid chromatography/quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry, LC/Q-TOF)分析所收集的14個菇類子實體及菌絲體樣品,結果僅在鮑魚菇﹝Pleurotus cystidiosus(abalone mushroom)﹞子實體(fruiting bodies)中發現微量的lovastatin。另外,利用兩種高效液相層析儀(high performance liquid chromatography,HPLC)方法檢測所有菇類的lovastatin含量,結果發現其含量皆低於兩種檢測方法的偵測極限(LOD,limit of detection)(小於0.5 ppm)及定量極限(LOQ,limit of quantitation)(小於2 ppm)。總之,常見菇類並無或僅含有微量的lovastatin。
Lovastatin is a statin and is often used to lower blood cholesterol levels. It has been detected in a variety of edible mushrooms. As daily consumption of edible mushroom is increasing, there is a potential risk of over intake of lovastatin. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine lovastatin levels in fruiting bodies and mycelia of 14 different mushrooms. Results of liquid chromatography/quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (LC/Q-TOF) analysis showed that only the fruiting bodies of Pleurotus cystidiosus (abalone mushroom) had trace amounts of lovastatin. All other mushrooms were not found to contain lovastatin detectable by two different methods of high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with limit of detection (LOD) < 0.5 ppm and limit of quantitation (LOQ) < 2 ppm. In summary, common mushrooms contain no or only trace amounts of lovastatin.
