市售營養補充劑的β-菸醯胺單核苷酸(β-Nicotinamide Mononucleotide,β-NMN)濃度分析

Analysis of β-Nicotinamide Mononucleotide (β-NMN) Concentration in Nutrition Supplements Available on the Market

摘要


β-菸醯胺單核苷酸(β-NMN)是NAD^+的前體,參與能量產生、DNA修復和衰老過程。由於β-NMN被認為是一種抗衰老劑,臺灣市場上出現了許多含β-NMN的食品,但從未對這些食品中的β-NMN濃度進行過評估。本研究利用高效能液相層析儀(High Performance Liquid Chromatography,HPLC)對30件此類產品/原料進行了檢測。結果顯示,23件(76.7%,23/30)的β-NMN濃度≦10 mg/g或未檢出,2件(6.7%)介於11~50 mg/g,1件(3.3%)介於51~100 mg/g,以及4件(13.3%)超過101 mg/g。在超過101 mg/g的4件產品中有2件為美國產品,各1件為台灣及日本產品。所有受檢的國內外產品中,只有1件產品的β-NMN含量超過被認為具有抗衰老功效濃度的300 mg。此外,21件(70%)的產品在標籤上沒有標明β-NMN的濃度;在標示β-NMN濃度的9件(30%)產品中,有4件的濃度≦標示濃度的80%。根據本研究結果,我們敦促衛生監管部門強制執行準確標明β-NMN濃度的要求,並對符合情況進行例行監測。

β-nicotinamide mononucleotide (β-NMN) is the precursor of NAD^+ and is involved in energy production, DNA repair, and aging. As it is considered an anti-aging agent, many β-NMN-containing food products are on the market in Taiwan, but β-NMN concentration in these products has never been assessed. In this study, we examined 30 such products with high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Results showed that 23 product samples (76.7%) had no or ≤ 10 mg/g, 2 (6.7%) had 11~50 mg/g, 1 (3.3%) had 51~100 mg/g, and 4 (13.3%) had more than 101 mg/g. Of the four products exceeding 101 mg/g, two were from the United States and one each was from Taiwan and Japan. Among all products examined, only one product contained β-NMN above the concentration of 300 mg/g, which is considered to have anti-aging effect. Furthermore, 21(70%) of the products had no indication of β-NMN concentration in product labeling, and of the 9 (30%) products with β-NMN concentration indicated on the label, 4 had a concentration ≦80% of the indicated concentration. Based on results of this study, we urge the health regulatory authority enforce the requirement of accurate β-NMN concentration labeling and monitor the compliance routinely.
