Skin care has always been an important consideration among people who value beauty. Previous research has suggested that a healthy lifestyle can be one of the factors contributing to good skin health. The present study aimed to investigate the effects of healthy lifestyle on skin conditions among young females. A total of 146 female students (mean age=16.2 years, standard deviation=0.7 year) were recruited. They were asked to fill out a questionnaire containing the Adolescent Health Promoting Scale and their skin condition was also measured using a complexion analyzer (VISIA Version 4.0). Multiple linear regression analyses were used to evaluate their associations. Results indicated that age is the most significant factors affecting skin conditions. Unhealthy social support is significantly associated with more brown spots (p=0.006). However, unhealthy stress management is significantly associated with fewer brown spots (p=0.026). Although lifestyle is not associated with ultraviolet spots, red spots, texture, wrinkles, porphyrins, and pores, brown spots could be affected by nutritional behavior and stress management. Therefore, to reduce the increase of these undesirable skin condition, young females should take care of their lifestyle.
