The Fight between the Ideological States Apparatuses: The Production of Malaysian Documentaries after the Cold War

Especially in the early of 21st century, when the documentaries had produced and banned in the Malaysia and Singapore, its' show the formation of scenery and characteristics in different two countries. This article attempts to explore after the decades of the Chinese civil war and Cold War, how were the documentaries of Malaysia being affected and still banned in Malaysia? Whether the documentaries are real records or use satirical narrative techniques, how the narratees-the "Malayan Communists" and leftists who emerged during the Chinese Civil War and the Cold War, were exiled and forced to leave their homeland, they were unable to return before or after death...What is the hidden agenda behind the scenes? Are that worth to explore, especially in the context of the ideological state apparatuses and in the "framework" of after Cold War? We can observe these documentaries' directors with their film narrative languages, themes of content, what they are thinking about the subject? What is the intention behind shooting the documentary? Most importantly, what kind of related documentaries had been produced, that is worthy for our exploration and thinking.
