In this study, a total of 239 pieces of tree fall news information were collected from the Internet platform, and to explore the causes of tree fall from the perspective of news media. The method was to review the literature cases, analyze and propose corresponding risk management countermeasures to reduce tree fall, in order to prevent and reduce casualties and property losses, provide management agencies with reference applications. According to the research, the fallen trees are mainly rooted and rotten trees, causing at least 16 deaths and 63 injuries, as well as serious property damage, and countless fallen trees. Tree fall mainly occurs during the typhoon warning period (July to September). The main reasons for tree fall are affected by the structural defects of the trees themselves and environmental factors. This study uses the characteristic factor method to analyze the reasons for the occurrence of fallen trees, and proposes corresponding management to prevent fallen trees, so as to provide risk management to reduce tree damage.
