Stress related diseases are commonly found in contemporary society. The present study, which employs contrastive-experimental research method, investigates the stress relief effect on the one hand, and conducts relational analysis of stress factors on physiological indices on the other hand. Two experimental groups and one contrastive group are subject to comparison. The two experimental groups include head massage (A group), and Head acupoint massage (B group). The contrastive group (C group) assumes no massage at all. All participants are females with PSI (physiological strain index) higher than 50. They are randomly assigned to the contrastive group and the two experimental groups for a single test. Pre-and post-test physiological index and PSI value are measured via SA3000P, a heart rate variability analyzer (HRV). GM(0, N) model of the grey system is implemented for relational analysis of factor weight. Data analysis is intended to show effect of stress relief, and group comparison as regards mean HRT, SDNN (standard deviation of normal to normal) and factor weight difference of RMSSD (root mean square of the successive differences) on PSI. A total of 36 participants, with each group consisting of 12, is under investigation. According to the experiment, all groups manifest lower PSI values after the intervening experiment. The B group, whose physiological indices have changed, is found to display the best effect. The MRT weight, which is significantly higher, is regarded as a factor of relaxation and stress-relief. Data analysis indicates that head meridian acupoint massage is a healthcare means whereby the autonomic nervous system and balance can be improved. The finding can serve as a guide for those engaged in Medicare and medical cosmetics. Forthcoming research is suggested to conduct an experiment on a larger scale or target a specific respondent group, thus further verifying the effect of meridian acupoint massage on stress relief.
