In late 2005, Apple announced that it would add the service for Podcast downloads in its iTunes online music store, and directly adding the selection for Podcast in the playlist for iPod. Thus, Podcasts were connected to the numerous iPod users, leading to a rise in Podcasts. Currently, Podcasts can synchronize learning resources on mobile devices such as iPod, iPhone, and iPad, significantly realizing the effect of Learning2.0, such as the ESL Podcast for English as a second language, podcastfrancaisfacile for learning French, and Japanesepod101 for learning Japanese. In 2008, Department of Applied Chinese of Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages was the first to create a Podcast system for learning Chinese in Taiwan. In October 2010, it further integrated the existing Podcast system into cloud computing technology and latest Web2.0 applications, in order to develop the four modules for the mobile audio-visual learning platform: EPub (Electronic Publication) e-books, audio-visual blogs, Podcast subscriptions, QR-Code (two-dimensional codes). The purpose of this paper is to explicate and demonstrate how the Department of Applied Chinese and Graduate Institute of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language have applied these innovative four modules and functions of Podcasts to design and produce a series of Chinese language learning courses based on Taiwanese culture, in turn exploring its significance and effects. The published channels include Chinese language e-books, Kaohsiung City cultural Chinese learning audio-visual classes, Taiwanese small eats audio-visual courses, and lecture series of Chinese language celebrity instructors. Among these, the Taiwanese small eats audio-visual courses won the sixth place in the language learning category of the iTunes store in 2010. After the learning content incorporates the four modules for the Podcast mobile audio-visual learning platform, they can connect all the channels for online learning that currently exist, leading to the major effects of integrated learning. More importantly, innovation and expansion of the Podcast system enables Taiwan's rich cultural content to become globalized, and Chinese language learning can include the three elements of "language," "culture," and "globalization."
