Kinetics of Cation-Exchanger-Catalyzed Esterification I. Allyl Alcohol-Acetic Acid Reaction in Batch System

摘要


以陽離子交換樹脂(Amberlite IR-120)為接觸劑,在反應溫度18~60°C,樹脂用量1.86~112%,及丙烯醇/醋酸為1~10之條件下進行酯化反應。由實驗結果得知:溫度之上升及樹脂用量之增加均可使反應速率增快;在所用反應物分子比之範圍內,此酯化反應屬於二次之可逆反應,其平衡常數,Kc,約在3.50 至1.34之間;活性化能為12.32 kcal/mole;比反應速率常數之計算值對於實驗值之標準偏差為±8. 03%。

The esterification of allyl alcohol with acetic acid. catalyzed by Amberlite IR-120, at 18-60 °C., was studied in batch system. It was found that the reaction rate increased with the increase in temperature, catalyst quantity, and mole ratio of alcohol to acid. Interpretation of the kinetic data showed that the reaction was a reversible second-order reaction. A plot of log k against reciprocal of the absolute temperature gave a straight line, from which the activation energy was estimated to be 12.32 kcal/mole. The calculated values of k using the empirical equation were compared with experimental data. The standard deviation was ±8.03%.
