Tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) is a relatively new analytical technique based upon mass spectrometers that can provide two(or more) stages of mass separation in sequence. Applications of MS/MS in environmental problems, structural determination of bioorganic product, industrial chemical products and forensic chemistry problems are reviewed.
