摘要
在適當的反應條件下，蛋白酵素具有催化逆向水解反應的功能，包括醯化、酯化、轉醯化及轉酯化反應等，天然的蛋白酵素亦可以有機合成的方法來修飾，增強其活素及提高產率，最近的發展顯示有機化學在研究酵素化學及藥物化學之重要性正增加中。

Protease can catalyze several kinds of reverse hydrolysis under proper conditions. These reactions include: peptidation, esterification, transesterification and amidation etc. Natural protease can also be modified by organic synthetic methods to achieve a better activity and yield. Very recent developments have shown that organic chemistry are becoming of increasing importance for research into enzyme chemistry and pharmaceutic chemistry.
