本研究以化妝品中常用之二種抗氧化劑:α-維生素E與β-胡蘿蔔素調製入化妝水,以總抗氧化物分析儀分析其因有無添加(1)對甲氧基辛基桂皮酸酯(OMC)、(2)二氧化鈦(TiO_2)、(3)乙二胺四醋酸四鈉(EDTA-4Na)、(4)酸性或(5)鹼性等五種配方條件下之抗氧化能力差異及有效性。結果顯示:(1)α-維生素E與β-胡蘿蔔素添加0.5% OMC可使其抗氧化力分別提高16.00%及53.43%,(2)添加2% TiO_2其抗氧化力分別提升5.05%及17.19%,(3)加入0.1% EDTA-4Na其抗氧化力分別提高9.87%及15.6%,(4)pH值為6時,其抗氧化力分別降低3.39%及1.66%,(5)pH值為8時,其抗氧化力分別提高4.42%與5.42%。綜合以上結果,證明含不同抗氧化劑的配方成分中,確實會造成其抗氧化能力表現之差異,因此,如何開發具不同有效成分之適性配方以達到效果加成之功效,是未來化妝品配方開發中值得研究的課題。
The anti-oxidative agents: α-tocopherol and β-carotene were used to investigate the anti-oxidative ability and efficiency in five different factors. The different tonic water conditions include in the presence of (1) octyl p-methoxycinnamate (OMC), (2) titanium dioxide (TiO_2), (3) ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid- 4Na (EDTA-4Na) (4) acid and (5) basic. The experiments were detected by the PHOTOCHEM instrument. These results are as follow: (1) In the presence of 0.5% OMC, α-tocopherol and β-carotene were shown better anti-oxidative ability of 16.00% and 53.43%, respectively. (2) In the presence of 2% TiO_2, α-tocopherol and β-carotene were shown better anti-oxidative ability of 5.05% and 17.19%, respectively. (3) In the presence of 0.1% EDTA-4Na, α-tocopherol and β-carotene were shown better anti-oxidative ability of 9.87% and 15.6%, respectively. (4) In pH 6, α-tocopherol and β-carotene were shown lower anti-oxidative ability of 3.39% and 1.66%, respectively. (5) In pH 8, α-tocopherol and β-carotene were shown better anti-oxidative ability of 4.42% and 5.42%, respectively. To sum up the above descriptions, it is clear that the two anti-oxidants were shown different antioxidative ability due to difference formulations. It is one of the directions for chemists to develop more efficient and satisfactory formulations of cosmetic.
