本研究選擇市售八支五品種五品牌薰衣草精油(Lavender Essential Oil)以氣相層析質譜儀(Gas Chromatography - Mass Spectrophotometer,GC/MS)分析其成分並歸納各種薰衣草的化學組成,發現可藉由α-蒎烯(α-Pinene)、樟腦(Camphor)、品烯四醇(Terpinen-4-ol)與乙酸沉香酯(Linalyl acetate)4種化學成分簡易區分出真正薰衣草、藥用級薰衣草、穗花薰衣草、醒目薰衣草、高地薰衣草,此五品種成分之差異。其中,真正薰衣草(Lavender, Lavandula angustifolia)含有乙酸沉香酯及品烯四醇;藥用級薰衣草(Lavender, Lavandula officinalis )含有樟腦、乙酸沉香酯與α-蒎烯;穗花薰衣草(Lavenderspike, Lavandula latifolia)含有樟腦與α-蒎烯;醒目薰衣草(Lavender super, Lavandula burnatii)含有樟腦與乙酸沉香酯。高地薰衣草(Lavender highland, Lavandula angustifolia)含有乙酸沉香酯,但不含樟腦、α-蒎烯及品烯四醇。
This research is selecting commercially available eight, five varieties, and five branch Lavender essentials oil to analyze their composition by GC-MS (Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrophotometer, GC/MS) and to sum up the differences between their components. According to the chemical components, we can distinguish five varieties of lavender essential oils by 4 chemical components easily and they are α-pinene, camphor, terpinen-4-ol and linalyl acetate. The distinctive chemical components of the five kinds of lavender essential oils are as follows: terpinen-4-ol and linalyl acetate for lavender essential oil (Lavender, Lavandula angustifolia), camphor, linalyl acetate and α-pinene for lavender (Medicinal grade) essential oil (Lavender, Lavandula angustifolia), camphor and α-pinene for lavender spike essential oil (Lavender spike, Lavandula angustifolia), camphor and linalyl acetate for lavender super essential oil (Lavender super, Lavandula angustifolia), and only linalyl acetate for the lavender highland oil (Lavender highland, Lavandula angustifolia) but no camphor, α-pinene and terpinen-4-ol.
