大學生身體意象、醫美態度與醫美行為相關之研究以台中市四所大學為例

Research on the Correlations between College Students' Body Images, Medical Aesthetic Attitudes and Behaviors A Case Study of Four Universities in Taichung City

摘要


目的:台灣醫美市場於1990年代末不斷從國外引進相關醫美技術,不但大型公私立醫院相繼成立醫美中心,坊間醫美診所也快速增加;醫學美容成為醫療院所投入自費醫療市場的熱門項目。醫美技術的創新與醫美產業的行銷,帶動「顏值經濟」的蓬勃發展,進行醫美行為的年齡層亦有逐漸往下的趨勢。本研究之目的主要想了解現今大學生對於自己的身體意象、醫美態度與醫美行為的認知情形及其相關影響因素。方法:以台中市四所大學在學學生為對象的橫斷式研究。採便利取樣及現場發卷方式進行問卷調查。共發放600份問卷,有效問卷回收率為97.2%。問卷資料進行量表信度與效度分析;次數分配、平均數等描述性統計分析;獨立樣本t檢定、單因子變異數分析(ANOVA)、皮爾森相關分析及複迴歸等推論性統計分析。結果:中部女大學生對於「身體意象」的認知得分顯著地較男大學生高;有醫美經驗、戶籍地在南部之大學生對「醫美態度」的認知得分顯著較高。四年級、女大學生、有醫美經驗、打工為主要經濟來源之受訪者對「醫美行為」的認知顯著較高。「身體意象」與「醫美態度」兩個構面皆對「醫美行為」具有顯著正向影響(β=0.097,P<0.001;β=0.503,P<0.001)。結論:受訪大學生關注自己在公共場合的形象,同時對他人評價自己外貌並不會表現較高的自信。中部大學生認同醫美可以增加正向心理或心理幸福感,但進行醫美行為的意願並不高。年輕女性普遍重視自己的身體意象但滿意程度卻不高,建議大學生應能尋求及發展對自己身體意象的正向感受與方法,以避免因外表焦慮從而對交友或生活產生不必要的負面影響。

Background: In the late 1990s, Taiwan's large-scale public and private hospitals' medical aesthetic centers and the number of medical aesthetic clinics rapidly increased, which led to the vigorous development of the "beauty economy"; the age group engaged in medical aesthetics also gradually declined. The purpose of this research is to understand the current college students' perception of their own body image, attitude towards medical aesthetics and medical aesthetics behavior and related influencing factors. Methods: This study collected data with structural questionnaire by convenience sampling method. There were 600 subjects (valid returned rate was 97.2%) invited in this study. This study performed descriptive statics, variance analysis and linear regression analysis to examine the related factors influencing the respondents' perceptions. Results: Female college students have significantly higher cognitive scores for "body image" than male college students; college students with medical aesthetics experience and household registration in the south have significantly higher cognitive scores for "medical aesthetics attitude". Both the "body image" and the "medical aesthetics attitude" have a significant positive impact on "medical aesthetics behavior"(β=0.097, P<0.001; β=0.503, P<0.001) Conclusions: The respondents are concerned about their image in public, but do not show high confidence in evaluating their appearance to others. University students in Taichung City agree that medical aesthetics can increase positive psychology or psychological well-being, but their willingness to engage in medical aesthetics is not high. It is recommended that college students should be able to find positive feelings and methods of their own body image to avoid unnecessary negative effects on friends or life due to appearance anxiety.
