Reading is the main activity at school learning. It is not only a subject students need to learn, but also the main tool and medium they absorb knowledge and learn other curricular areas. Focusing on English Reading, the subject author reviews the process of reading comprehension, the model of cognitive process, the factors of affecting reading comprehension, the evaluation of reading comprehension, and much obtainment from relative literature. It concludes the strategies for fostering the successful outcome of English reading comprehension including a serious of positive reading methods and steps. It generalizes some positive reading behaviors and afford reference for students to learn English reading.
