摘要
過去一、二十年間由於社會風氣的轉變，言論自由與出版自由默許了性革命的發生，而後快速的資訊時代、E化的網路聯結讓我們確實在公開的行為上產生轉變，這對男性、女性的婚姻是利是弊不得而知，但由現況的高離婚率來看確實外遇引發的社會問題層出不窮。外遇事件較以往大幅增多的另一原因是當整個社會性道德沉淪力量加劇時，情感想移動的一方或雙方只要碰到燎原之火，外遇就自然而然地發生了，並演變成嚴重的家庭問題。據調查，國內已婚男女至少有四分之一擔心面臨外遇問題，美國人類學家海倫．費雪的研究中也提到，男女第一次的感情轉折點以由已往認知的7年提前至「四」年，不禁讓人深思為何社會進步了男女關係反而日趨複雜，情感和婚姻的免疫力逐年下降。產生外遇之因素係多元面向，到底是什麼原因讓人們輕易的違背誓言，導致現代男女的「婚外情」如此普遍，難道走入婚姻只是對愛一時的憧憬，當憧憬被現實所挑戰時，高外遇現象反映出現代人對婚姻的恐懼與失望。承上所述，本文藉由文獻探討及調查數據剖析社會因外遇所引發之影響，並探討到底外遇為人們帶來什麼好處與損失。
