This paper analyzes the art exhibitions for the visually impaired audiences, organized by domestic and foreign museums and galleries. Cases overseas include museum accessible programs in Great Britain, France and Canada from 2009 to 2015, with discussion on the exhibition typology and visitor differences. Domestic cases include five different types of art educational exhibitions for the visually impaired organized by museums and art galleries in Taiwan since 2005, with discussion centered on improvements of the accessible visiting environment and multi-sensory educational activities. This paper also reviews diverse implementations and themes, including four planning aspects to design an exhibition for the visual impaired: "exhibition space planning", "visitor services and aids", "multimedia resource" and "extending resources and activities" to improve accessible service, offer visual impaired visitors a better visiting experience and enhance the educational outreach of museums and galleries.
