The exhibition Beau Doublé, Monsieur le marquis at the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature in Paris was presented by French artists Sophie Calle and Serena Carone. This paper begins with a description of this exhibition and the process by which these artists blended their creations into the museum’s space and collections to develop new works. Next, how the museum, through cooperation with contemporary artists, has highlighted its transformation from a "hunting" museum into an "environment and nature" museum is discussed. Finally, thinking on and exhibition of issues regarding animal studies, which are an extension of this type of cooperative relationship, are explored.
